Requirements:

Deliver two interfaces to integrate stock positions and open purchase orders from S/4HANA to IBP. 

A CPI-DS developer to required to create/develop the interfaces. 

Integration of stock positions and open purchase orders from S/4HANA to IBP Energy Sector

 The role & responsibilities of a CPI-DS (Cloud Platform Integration for Data Services) developer involves the following:

1. Data Mapping: 

 The CPI-DS developer needs to understand the data structures and formats in both the SAP IBP and S/4HANA systems. 

 This is required to create mappings that define how data should be extracted from the S/4HANA system and transformed to align with the requirements of IBP.

2. Data Extraction: 

 Using CPI-DS, the developer sets up data extraction jobs from the S/4HANA system to pull stock and purchase order information from the appropriate tables and fields, 

 using relevant and agreed business logic.

3. Data Transformation: 

 The extracted data may require some transformations or data enrichment to suit the IBP format. 

 The developer ensures that the data is cleaned, standardized, and transformed as needed for accurate integration.

4. Data Load to IBP: 

 After the data transformation, the developer configures the integration to load the extracted data into the relevant planning objects in SAP IBP, 

 In this case the stock and purchase order planning data.

5. Monitoring and Error Handling: 

 The CPI-DS developer monitors the data integration process and addresses any errors or issues that may arise during data extraction, transformation, or loading. 

 The developer will also be required during the cutover phase to co-ordinate and move the changes to production environment.

6. Performance Optimization:

 The CPI-DS developer also works to optimize the integration process to ensure efficient data flow between SAP IBP and S/4HANA, considering factors like data volume and frequency of updates.

 Enable the timely extraction and synchronization of stock and purchase order data for more effective supply chain planning in IBP. 

 CPI-DS integration does not follow a single model data extraction framework where you expose the complete data base to the connecting system but requires an individual flow for each object that needs to be integrated between the two connected systems. 

 Experience in SAP S/4 & IBP
